Janet Chiasson, 98 of 475 School Street, Pawtucket, passed on October 8th at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. She was the last surviving daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Shenekgy) Kabbaze. She was born in Central Falls, RI and lived on Perry Street.
She was the wife of the late Joseph (Cliff) Chiasson. They met in Cambridge, MA, and lived there for many years before returning to Rhode Island to be closer to her family.
Janet was predeceased by her sister, Ann Chadwick and brothers Louis, Gabriel, George, Anthony, and William Kabbaze.
She is survived by her niece and caregiver, Carole Kelly of Pawtucket, RI, niece Sandra Velzis and her nephew Anthony Kabbaze. She also leaves a stepson, Gary Chiasson and grandson Hunter Chiasson of Boston, MA., niece Dawn Fonseca of South Attleboro and several other nieces.
Janet loved to go out for lunch, mention Twin River and she would give you a big smile. She was never happier than when she was sitting at her favorite machine.
